"Boston is a town with a history of revolutionary winners. Think of Paul Revere, the revolutionary war, and our fight for freedom and independence; this competition is a challenge to design a car that embodies some or all of this history.
"This must be a car that works naturally within the regions physical constraints, and a car that fulfills the desires of local drivers and car enthusiasts."
While Local Motors is not planning to build a car for Boston at this time, the company does one day intend to build a car specifically for their hometown.
The competition description includes pictures and a description of Paul Revere’s Ride through Boston’s Old North Church in the North End through the revolutionary landscape.
