The VW Slimo is a futuristic personal commuter focused on interior comfort. The cabin is based on a multifunctional belt which uses nano shape memory polymers. It was created by Young-Roh Yoon and Sung Uk Kim from the Seoul National University of Technology.

The VW Slimo was the winner in the Best Innovation category at the Interior Motives Design Awards 2008. It was designed by Young-Roh Yoon and Sung Uk Kim from the Seoul National University of Technology.

Slimo is an original personal mobility vehicle with a boxy shape that reminds of modern electronic products.

Nano SMP (shape memory polymer) technology is used for the inner "belt" which can change shape, integrate the seat and an interactive display and roll to allow users to run during the travelling time.

The vehicle can also be grouped with other commuters to form a sort of "chain" guided by a communication system. In this case the exterior panels are used to display useful messges such as news headlines and weather conditions.
