Inside, the futuristic interior has suspended seats that can be tilted in order to counterbalance side forces when cornering.

A sophisticated software interprets the information collected by many sensors and is capable of recognising safety hazards in advance and warn the driver.

Sustainabile powertrain

According to VW, future cars will feature low-emissions and high energy efficiency, thanks to many solutions:

• the use of sustainable second-generation fuels with an almost neutral CO2 emissions balance - the amount of carbon dioxide produced in combustion is the same as the one converted into biomass via photosynthesis during plant growth.
• The use of smaller and more efficient engines - through the downsizing process - will contribute to achieve lower emissions and consumptions.
• The adoption of CCS engines, which combine a homogeneous fuel-mixture generation of a gasoline unit and the self-ignition of a diesel.
• Hybrid powertrains with internal combustion units used as range extender
