Lancia has unveiled the first images of the new Delta, that will debut at the Geneva Motor Show and will go on sale in mid-2008. The design is based on the Delta HPE Concept presented in 2006.

New Lancia Delta - ExteriorAccording to Lancia, the Delta will mark the beginning of a new philosophy for the brand, that will combine elegance with innovation.

The new Delta was designed by Lancia Style Center and features generous dimensions (4,5 m in length, 1,8 m in width and 1,5 m in height) that together with the wheelbase of 2,7 m allow for an ample interior space.

The interior is focused on comfort and communicates a quite and bright athmosphere, also thanks to the large glass areas. The rear bench can slide longitudinally and features a reclining back.

New Lancia Delta - InteriorThe engines will offer power outputs ranging from 120 up to 200 hp. The units will be coupled with six speed gearboxes - either manual or automatic.

Technical highlight will include the ESC system (Electronic Stability Control) and the SDC - suspensions with electronic damping control.

The Lancia Delta will debut at the 78th Geneva Motor Show and will be launched in mid-2008.
