At the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Visteon Corporation and 3M have unveiled a demonstration vehicle featuring more than 50 new technologies for automotive interiors.

The vehicle was unveiled at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at Visteon’s exhibit. The innovations are related to related to comfort, connectivity, convenience, health, flexibility (individualism), and sensory.

Among the newly introduced technologies are:

  • Augmented Reality Displays offer the benefits of full widescreen projection which enables 1:1 scale real world overlays for navigation route finding and night vision
  • Wireless charging for electronic devices
  • 3M transmissive optical films, used to hide displays and lighting effects for LCD screens, thus providing a sleek black panel
  • Vikuiti Light Management films, used on LCD backlights increase efficiency and thermal control
  • Complete family entertainment system, developed in partnership with Boston Acoustics, which can be connected to the users' personal devices.
