The Toyota Hi-CT Concept is a compact urban vehicle targeted to young customers. Among the features are plug-in hybrid powertrain, the edgy design and a removable rear trunk.

Toyota Hi-CT ConceptThe Hi-CT Concept will be unveiled by Toyota at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show 2007.

The exterior, inspired by young lifestyle and thinking, is characterized by unconventional dimensions (length 3,330mm x width 1,695mm x height 1,780mm), a removable rear trunk and a loading deck that can carry equipment such as surfboards, bicycles or other.

The plug-in hybrid technology, allows it to charge from an external power source, giving it a greater driving range when running on its battery-powered motor.

The battery is located under the floor, which optimizes the interior cabin space and allows for a higher driver position. The included AC100V accessory socket enables stored electricity to be used for a variety of applications.
