The Subaru Exiga Concept is a 7-seater touring wagon with a roomy interior that can comfortably accommodate seven adult passengers.

Technical features include the 2.0liter Horizontally-Opposed turbo engine mated with a 5-speed automatic transmission and the Symmetrical AWD system. The newly developed chassis has front MacPheson struts and rear Double Wishbone suspensions.

It will be presented at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show 2007.

Design

The exterior body is coated in a vivid “candy red pearl” tone that enhances the car's presence and dynamic performances.

Inside, the lofty 360-degree panorama view can be enjoyed by all seven passengers thanks to the super-size glass roof and the raised seats, which are gradually higher toward the back in a theater layout.

The A-pillar angle is optimized for good visibility.

Visibility around the vehicle is further secured by eight view monitors in the instrument panel, with the side rear view camera spotting an aerodynamic wedge-shape.

The bright and high-quality leather interior using mostly pearl white and blue suggests "the refreshing and luxurious feel of being on a cruiser deck." The seats in the back are equipped with folding tables similar to passenger airplanes.

A clear blue display zone that stretches from left to right can display a range of views from the oonboard cameras as well as images from the entertainment-system.

A soothing space is rendered at night with indirect lighting on the ceiling and side doors, giving this a different look from daytime.
