At the Tokyo Motor Show Nissan is unveiling the Pivo 2 Concept, which evolves the idea of its predecessor and showcases rotating cabin and wheels, in-wheel electric motors and an interactive robotic interface.

Nissan Pivo 2 ConceptPivo 2 builds on the popularity of the first Pivo, shown at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show.

It is powered by advanced Compact Lithium-ion Batteries and features a unique rotating cabin – meaning no reverse gear is required. ‘By-wire’ technologies are emplyed for braking and steering.

It also showcases innovative 90 degree turning wheels, which integrate electric motors and allow Pivo 2 to drive sideways.

Pivo 2 takes the idea of an environmentally friendly electric urban commuter vehicle and delivers fun, functionality and a unique relationship between the car and driver.
