The public contest is not a first for the Italian automaker.

In 1966 Alfa Romeo started a contest to name its new compact roadster.

Participation was very high and the final name was the legendary "Spider Duetto".

About the AlfaNaming contest

According to the contest brief, the new name must express energy and dynamism, must look into the future with a particular attention to young people and to Alfa Romeo's style.
