IAAD - Volkswagen Project

Greenwheels - Urban Car Design project

The brief was to create a new concept for urban mobility, facing its well-known problems such as pollution, lack of parking spaces, and the current engine displacements, too large compared to the actual requirements in terms of performaces and distances.

The project integrates form and function, in an "ethical process" that promotes alternative fuels - like hydrogen.

The result is a four-wheels compact vehicle tailored to the needs of urban mobility, easy to assembly and to maintain.

The aim was to combine practocity and low-costs of scooters with safety and driving-fun of a city car.

The project was supervised by Simon Grand (Transportation Design department coordinator at IAAD) and Flavio Manzoni (Head of Creative Design Volkswagen Group).
