The Russian ZIL Parade is a Presidential limousine created for being used during parades on the Red Square. The author is Ilya Avakov, a graduate from Shtiglits Arts Academy in Saint Petersburg.

ZIL Parade ConceptIlya Avakov consulted the chairman of Heraldic council at the President of Russia Georgy Vilinbahov on the subject, and made an extensive research about the current ceremony protocol and future changes.

"Now parade is accepted by Minister of Defence, and the president of the Russian Federation is on a honourable tribune. In the new scenario, parade will be probably accepted by the president, accompanied by horsemen."

The project was aimed at creating the most comfortable situation for car passengers as well as the right spectator's perception of the event and of the President, both with the car moving and during official ceremonies.

In order to grant the President a higher visibility a two-level floor was developed, with a height gap of 150 mm. The President seats in the rear part of the vehicle, on a seat designed with a throne-like look and comfort.

The luggage carrier was borrowed from the old Presidential model (ZIL 41044). A special heating system allows to maintain the correct temperature even in cold weather.

The ZIL Parade project has already been shown in the governmental structures in Moscow, and at an exhibition at XI Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum. Now it is at the stage of patenting - the application has already been sent.
