The Abarth SS Concept is a compact two-seater sportscar based on the Fiat Panda platform. It was created by second year transportation design students at IED.

Abarth SS Concept by IED students - Side renderingThis coupé/targa compact sportscar, unveiled by Virtual Car, is a project developed by second year transportation design students at IED: Matteo Bergantin, Michele Cito, Andrea Corona, Alex Mastinu, Giulio Partisani and Satoshi Shiina.

As in the tradition of the brand, the Abarth SS is derived from a small production Fiat model (the Panda, in this case). The same basis was recently choosen by Bertone for the Barchetta Concept.

Abarth SS Concept by IED students - design sketchesThe dimensions are a total length of 3,550 mm, a width of 1,680 mm and a height of just 1,200 mm.

The range of engines could include the Fiat production 1.4 liters (100-hp) and the T-Jet units (+150 hp).

The estimated price could be as low as 18,000 Euros, thanks to the extensive sharing of components.
