The CTR3 is the third generation of RUF's extreme supercars and comes 20 years after the original CTR, nicknamed "Yellow Bird", launched in 1987.

UPDATE: despite the mid-engine layout, the CTR3 was NOT based on the Cayman.

The body features aluminium and carbon-fiber panels that contribute to limit the total weight to about 1,380 kg.

The engine is a twin-turbo 3.8L flat six engine - the same that equips the Porsche 911 RT12. It delivers 700 hp and 656 lb-ft (890 Nm) of torque and is coupled with a sequential gearbox.

The top speed is 375km/h, and the retail price will be about 380,000 Euros (excluded taxes).

With the launch of its CTR3 RUF is celebrating the inauguration of RUF's new plant in Bahrain.
