Created in 2005 at Turin-based IED by Giangiacomo Barbero and Hyun Ho, the Ferrari Fiorano Concept was one of the finalist projects in the "Ferrari - Concept of a Myth" Competition.
The Fiorano is inspired by Sport GT racing cars and by innovative aerodynamics concepts: one of the main goals of the project was to create a sportscar with a very high aerodynamic downforce.

It is powered by a V12 central engine, so it would be positioned above the F430 model lineup, being a virtual successor to the 1984 Testarossa.

The exterior body uses a design language that originates from various sources: stealth fighters, Comanche helicopters and ocean creatures like the hammerhead shark.

The aim was to create a new design language that would break with the typical Pininfarina's styling cues, whilst maintaining the Ferrari's DNA.

Hyunho Shin
The Ferrari Fiorano Concept was created by Giangiacomo Barbero and Hyun Ho Shin.
Hyunho Shin has received his Master's Degree in Car Design and Mobility at the Domus Academy in Milan in 2006.
Giangiacomo Barbero received his Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin in 2005.
In 2006 he had an Internship at the Idea Institute (Turin, Italy). He was finalist in the "Anfia stile italiano giovani 2006" design competition with the Lancia Delta concept and in the 2005 Canadian Autoshow "World Automotive Design Competition" with Alessi Bubble.
For Car Body Design Giangiacomo Barbero has written the tutorials "Quick sketch in Photoshop" and "Presentation rendering in Photoshop".
