The goal of the project documented by SCRAMBLED is to design a Customisable ‘Youth’ car for 2020, in a total time of 8 weeks (you can find more information in this article published on 8 March 2007)
The design team is composed by Kazanori Inomota, Edward Stubbs and Mujammil Khan-Muztar, who graduated in December 2006.
As Edwad Stubbs explains, "Customisable [is] in the sense of its functions, rather than just how it looks."
"[...] we mean the flexibility of the car will allow [passengers] to use it as a home-movie space, a place to spin some tunes, a place to sleep-in, a place to camp, and a place to store a mountain-bike…"
The weblog was started on 27 March 2007 and it is updated on a daily basis. Not only it contains the designers' sketches and exploratory ideas, it also includes their comments about existing vehicles and the latest design news.
The most interesting thing about SCRAMBLED is that visitors can watch the development of the project as it evolves day-by-day, understanding a bit more of the creative processes and observing how designers are influenced and inspired by other projects and latest trends.

In addition to this, visitors can post their comments about the project, so in a way they can have a direct influence on the design decisions and the project evolution.
The content is also available as an RSS newsfeed.
SCRAMBLED is run by Edward Stubbs, who has an Automotive-Design Masters degree.
He has also a Product-Design degree from Bournemouth University, and got involved in automotive engineering via Germany and the US, recently returning to the UK to study at Coventry University.
