The sketches show a range of trailers designed for leisure activities: a plain model can carry a motorcycle or a two-seater speedboat; a second transformable model can be turned into a mini-caravan, with bed, awning, and a foldable sink and stove, ideal for camping.

According to TheCarConnection, a Smart spokesman has stated that the drawings are just designers' "visions for accessories that could be made in the future".

The new Smart fortwo will be marketed in the U.S. from next year.
