Dzmitry focused on the concepts of Elegance, Luxury, Symplicity, History, Intellegence and Linearity, with the goal of connecting car design with fashion.
His idea was to resurrect the Laundalet car body, which was very popular in the 1920s and 1930s.
The laundalet layout allows for two distinct zones: an open-top cockpit for the driver and a passenger and a closed cabin for the rear passengers, who can benefit from a very comfortable interior space, equipped with a comprehensive info-tainment system which includes TV, DVD player and an internet connection.
As Dzmitry Samal explains, the most difficult task was "to merge two completely different kinds of car into the one."

The solution was the S-line that characterizes the side view of the Avantgarde.
It starts from the front waist line and defines and integrates the different zones by rising up in the rear end.
"I tried to keep the shapes and the lines as clear as possible."

The first exploratory sketches were mainly focused on the passengers, while the next development steps saw a stronger accent on the driving fun and sporty character of the car, in line with Audi's philosophy.

Both the exterior and the interior lines feature a clean and modern design, while the technical basis is provided by the production Audi A8.
