At the Geneva Motor Show 2007 Renault has unveiled the Clio Grand Tour Concept, a showcar designed to appeal to drivers seeking a dynamic, attractive small estate with a splash of classic grand tourer.
It is powered by a 2.0 16V 200hp gasoline engine and features a practical and comfortable cabin, with a large, easy-to-load boot.
The Clio Grand Tour Concept is geared towards leisure activities and includes a complete equipment with many electronic features.
An unusual design element is represented by the aluminium wheels, which are 18-inches in size at the front and 19-inches at the rear, even if the drivetrain uses a standard front-wheel drive system.
At 4.2 metres in length, Clio Grand Tour Concept is a compact estate with the panache of a grand tourer. Clio III’s profile is easily visible, although the shape is enhanced by more pronounced curves.

Dynamic design elements include the three-door bodyshell, roof bars, wider front and rear wings, sculpted sills, air ducts and rear diffuser.
At the front, a wide air intake grille cools the naturally aspirated 2.0 16V 200hp engine. The streamlined front lights house high-performance LEDs and the compact rear lights epitomise Clio Grand Tour Concept’s no-nonsense character.
The bodywork is painted in "Comet Gold" color, with an array of pixels on the sides, suggesting the worlds of multimedia and photography.
The cabin is characterized by four individual seats with integral headrests and a bright, airy ambience thanks to the wide, panoramic glass roof.
The long rear overhang allows for a large load-carrying capacity: the standard 430-litre boot can be further expanded by folding the rear seats. The resulting flat load area is 1.7 metres long and offers a capacity of 1,275 liters.
The dashboard incorporates a navigation screen and analogue/digital speedometer.
The interior lighting is yellow in tone – Renault’s corporate colour – which gives the cabin a certain vibrancy, which echoes the car’s entertaining character.
The centre console, boot floor and door trims also disseminate streaks of yellow light.
