Cardesign.ru has published an interesting project by Russian designer Andrei Gusev. His Honda Excalibur Concept was created for the final project in the Transportation Design yearly master at Turin-based IED. In the article he also speaks about his experience at the Italian design school.

The 2005-2006 IED final project, in partnership with Honda, was started in July 2006, after 4 months of basic skills training. The theme was "The emotional hybrid car".

Since the first exploratory design sketches, Andrei has tried to think about a new philosophy for the Honda brand, with an exterior design characterized by a combination of hard edges an bold graphic elements.

His project was choosed in the first selection after the first 2-3 months, and was then turned into a 1:4 scale clay model.

The final selected project will be unveiled in a full-scale prototype at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show in March.
