Compared with the 2005 edition, the restyled Coupé features a deeply changed front end. The headlights have a stretched shape , and define a new cutline that divides the spoiler and thequarter panel. The spoiler integrates a single air grille with horizontal openings.
Another important change affects the side panel: the characteristic "C"-edge that sculpted the vehicle profile - apparently inspired by the Ferrari 456 - has been reduced to the upper part, and the vertical vents have been replaced by a small horizontal opening.
The new Hyundai Coupé will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show together with the Arnejs Concept.
Initially the S-Coupe was sold in the UK and around the world, until replaced by the Coupé in 1996. This US-designed car won fans worldwide, outselling the Fiat Coupe in Italy.
An F2 Evolution version was introduced in 1999, featuring additional streamlining, and an uprated engine, and received a bold facelift in 2000.
The third generation went on sale in 2002, with a significant redesign of the previous edition.
Two additional facelifts were carried out in 2005 (with a more aggressive front end design and sportier headlights) and in 2006.
