"Silver Shark" by Sun Qi (China) The 2006 edition of the Michelin Challenge Design was built on four previous challenges, where participants had explored Italian, French, Chinese and German automotive design.

This edition was focused on vehicle concepts for the California market that "incorporate an alternative powertrain and consider the effect of that powertrain on tire size and appearance and the role electronic technologies could play in tire systems", offering a global platform for students and designers to share their visions of design for automotive industries in the 21st Century.

On the official website, there is an extensive gallery of 11 scale models and 22 sets of drawings with high resolution images.
