A group of American businessmen is going to resurrect the Duesenberg marque with a prestigious sportscar which would be named "Torpedo Coupé".

Duesenberg Custom Coach LLC, which purchased the old trademark, has assigned the vehicle development to external companies: Teague Design Inc. will create the exterior design and E.P. Industries, Inc. will be the technical partner for the engineering.
The "Torpedo Coupé" should be unveiled in 2007 and many mechanical components will be shared with the Mercedes CLS 500.
In these preliminary sketches the exterior body, with its two-color paint finish, its long bonnet and its cabin silhouette, reminds us of the Bugatti Type 57.
