MG CS Concept
At the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show MG has revealed the CS Concept, previewing the brand’s first SUV model, with a design that evolves the Icon Concept.
The MG CS Concept is the latest result of a massive investment in the brand by company owner SAIC Motor group.
The show car previews the brand’s first production urban SUV and was designed by a team led by MG’s Global Design Director, Anthony Williams-Kenny.
Evolving the design language of the 2012 Icon concept, the MG CS features a balanced and dynamic look, with large wheels, minimal overhangs, a sloped, creased shoulder line and a tight, slightly arched roofline with integrated roofbars.
Among the distinctive design features are the headlights which have a multi-faceted ‘shard’ structure which refract light in different colors and shape from the side, forming the iconic MG’s trademark octagon from the front.
