IED Alfa Romeo Gloria Concept
New images and a video on the Gloria Concept, the design study created by the students of the IED Master of Arts in Transportation Design – work experience in collaboration with Alfa Romeo.
The students of the Turin-based IED Master course were coordinated by Luca Borgogno, Lead Designer and IED Lecturer.
The surfacing uses smooth, curved shapes, with a front end and a rear treatment that recalls the brand’s design language and key styling cues.
Among the distinctive elements are the retro-inspired leather straps on the muscular-shaped hood and the satin metal element defining the roofline and integrating the side camera – a solution seen on other recent concepts such as the Citroen Numero 9 and more rencently the Ssangyong SIV-1 Concept.
The Gloria Concept is 4.7 meter long, 1.9 meter wide and 1.3meter tall. The sport sedan was developed in collaboration with the Alfa Romeo Style Center.
The concept will be on display ay the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile in Turin from March 19 until June 2, 2013.
