Mazzanti Automobili has released new images of the Evantra V8, a limited series mid-engine supercar which is expected to debut at Top Marques Monaco Show in 2013.

The Evantra was first announced last year by Italian company F&M by Mazzanti Automobili – which has subsequently changed its name to just Mazzanti Automobili.

The Evantra – whose name indicates the goddess of immortality in ancient Etruscan language, was designed by Luca Mazzanti and Zsolt Tarnok, the Hungarian designer who also created the F&M Vulca.

The car is powered by a mid-mounted 7.0 liter V8 engine delivering 701 hp and 848 Nm, coupled with a robotized six-speed transmission.

The body is primarily made from carbon fiber and its aerodynamics was studied in partnership with Ysim, a company that works as a consultant for Formula One teams.
