2013 Kia pro_cee’d GT: design sketch
Kia has revealed a design sketch that previews the 2013 pro_cee’d GT sporty hatchback, expected for market launch in the second half of 2013.
The Kia pro_cee’d GT will be “aligned with Kia’s sportiness and fun to drive positioning” and will be equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI engine coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.
The new GT will be based on the 2012 pro_cee’d model (images below), which made its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Speaking of its design, Kia’s Chief Design Officer Peter Schreyer commented “This car embodies emotion and energy through and through.”
“You know from a single glance that this is a car you want to drive, not just own. Kia is on a distinctive design adventure and the all new pro-cee’d spearheads this forward looking journey.”
