McLaren Automotive Executive Chairman Ron Dennis confirmed the adoption of the same design approach used for the F1. ‘Our aim is not necessarily to be the fastest in absolute top speed but to be the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit.’ he explains.

When the McLaren P1 goes into production later next year, it will sit above the 12C and 12C Spider, in terms of both price and performance.

More information will be released following the official debut on 27 September 2012.

It must be awesome in terms of technology and so on but lately this supercar design seems to me utterly old fashioned.Looks too sophisticated, toyish, lack of elegance and personality, …Would anyone have guessed its a Mclaren?. Ferraris and Lambos do have personality. al least they should have chosen the silver f1 McLaren typical colour…Another product for petro-dolar customers.
