Touring Superleggera Disco Volante Concept: first images
The first images of the Disco Volante Concept, the design study inspired by the 1952 Alfa Romeo 1900 C 52 debuting at the upcoming Geneva Show.
After the preview of February, we report the first renderings of the Disco Volante Concept.
The exterior reinterprets with a modern surface treatment many of the design elements of the original car.
Among these are the prominent shoulders, the flat-top front wheel arches, the distinctive hatch volume and a leaping forward stance charcterized by the straight, sloped character line.
Making its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the sportscar created by Milan-based studio Touring Superleggera could be based on the chassis of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.
The original “Disco Volante” (‘flying disc’ in Italian) was created in 1952 by Alfa Romeo in collaboration with Touring-Superleggera coachbuilder.

This looks stunning, I hope it goes into production! This is a beautiful blend of classic and modern car design.
