Developed in partnership with US- and Europe-based companies, the Luxgen5 Sedan model will make its official debut at the 2012 Taipei Auto Show.

Luxgen5 SedanThe design is based on three so-called “Aesthetics Elements”: Surfacing Performance, Re-curved Strokes and Intelligent Airfoil.

The result is a very aerodynamic body which achieves a remarkable drag coefficient of 0.28.

The lines, albeit not revolutionary, showcase an attention to modern trends and integrate some styling cues of the Neora Concept, presented at Auto Shanghai 2011 in April.

The interior is quite distinctive and features an extensive range of technologies and equipment.

Luxgen5 Sedan Interior These include an advanced infotainment system called “Think+ Touch System” and developed in partnership with HTC, with a large 9-inch touch screen and full compatibility with HTC smart phones.

The digital instruments are positioned on the dashboard and on a aeronautical-inspired HUD display.

Among the other onboard technologies are the Active Eagle View, which includes four external cameras that provides a 360-degree view of the surrounding environment, the Night Vision system, Lane Departure Warning System and Side View Monitoring System

The Luxgen5 Sedan will be offered with a choice of two gasoline engines: a 1.8 liter unit with 150 hp and 230 Nm and a 2.0 liter unit with 170 hp and 256 Nm coupled – respectively – with a manual 5-speed gearbox and with a six speed automatic transmission.
