At the next 2011 Geneva Motor Show Rinspeed will introduce the BamBoo Concept, a design study of an electric open car for leisure summer activities.

The minimalistic design aims at expressing the “back to the roots of mobility” idea.

The exterior has simple, clean lines, inspired by French cars of the past such as the Citroën Mehari and the Renault 4 Plein Air – both introduced in 1968.

The name BamBoo comes the bamboo fibers used for many interior components.

The car also integrates an electric foldable two-wheeler.
