The “Mako Kit” is the first project by New Level, a new car design and tuning studio based in Gostivar, Macedonia.
The kit is a completely new design inspired by American muscle cars and sharks, and aims at demonstrating the company’s capabilities.
The transformation based on the Opel Calibra.
As New Level founder Goran Igor Bundaleski explains, “The Calibra proved to be great donor because it has good proportions and greenhouse (which is the only thing that is not changed completely).
“In addition to this, it can be easily found in almost all countries; it has pretty good performances – and there are a lot of aftermarket solutions for tuning it. Finally, it is not expensive, thus making the whole project more affordable.”
The kit is mounted on the donor vehicle using bolts, and can be easily installed by not experienced builders.
“We think that kit car manufacturers should have more courage and show their own designs rather than making replicas”, Bundaleski continues.
The prototype is currently under construction. For more information you can follow the project at www.newlevel.mk.
